Madison Gets Fourth Dual Win of Season

In their dual against Vermillion on Tuesday, the Madison Gymnastics team got their fourth win of the season, beating the Tanagers 128.15-119.4.

Madison had strong performances in all four events, with multiple girls finishing in the top six of each event, giving the Bulldogs the sweep in the four events.

Madison outscored Vermillion 29.75-25.55 in the Bars, 31.95-30.7 in Beams, 33.35-30.65 in Floor Exercises, and 33.1-32.5 in the Vault.

In the Bars, Madison had five out of the six finishers, with Kyra Wiese placing first with her score of 7.6. She was followed by Serena Gapp of Vermillion with her score of 7.55.

Gapp finished first in the other four events, giving her the top All-Around performance, scoring 33.6. Sophia Pettereins and Sophia Sudenga rounded out the top three for All-Around, with their scores of 32.3 and 31 respectively.

The win over Vermillion gives Madison a 4-1 record in duals this season.

Next for the Bulldogs is the Linda Collignon Invitational at Madison High School this Saturday, January 14th starting at 11am.
