Madison Football Head Coach Max Hodgen To Resign, According to Madison Central School Board Agenda

Madison High School could soon be looking for a new Head Football Coach. According to the Madison Central School Board’s agenda for it’s meeting on Monday, Max Hodgen’s resignation as Head Football Coach is listed for the board’s approval. Hodgen has been the head coach for the Bulldogs since 2010. In 12 seasons with the team Hodgen posted a record of 96-32, with six appearances in the Class 11A state championship game. He helped bring four state championships to Madison, including the 2021 championship win to end an undefeated season.

Hodgen’s first year as Madison’s head coach came in 2010, after the team suffered an 0-9 season. Four years later the Bulldogs were in the dome for the first time in school history. After finishing runner up in back-to-back seasons, the Bulldogs captured their first ever state title in 2015, the first of three straight championship seasons.
