Madison boys drop 3rd game in row as comeback falls short in Beresford

A comeback attempt fell short last night, as the Madison boys basketball team fell to Beresford 73-63. Madison trailed by 20 in the 4th quarter before going on an 11-0 run to get back into the game. The Bulldogs cut the lead down to 7 at one point, but Beresford picked up a key offensive rebound and putback with two minutes remaining to slow the Bulldogs run.

Ben Brooks had a game high 26 points for Madison in the loss. Andrew Comes added 15 points and Thomas Mechels 10.

All five Watchdogs starters scored in double figures, led by 18 from Aidan Hamm.

The loss dropped Madison to 6-8 this season, while Beresford is now 6-9. Next up for the Bulldogs is a trip to Montrose on Tuesday, to take on the MCM Fighting Cougars.
