Madison Beats Canton in Battle of Undefeated Teams

After a halftime score of 10-7, Madison Football held on to the ball and leaned heavily on the run attack by scoring three rushing touchdowns in the second half. The Bulldogs went on to defeat Canton 30-14. Bruce Galde led the way with 66 yards on 17 rushing attempts and scored a touchdown in each half. Nate Ricke and Trey Smith also scored in the second half. Clay Buchholtz added a sack on defense, bringing his season total to four. Both the Bulldogs and the C-Hawks each ran 54 plays, but Madison had 147 more yards gained. Madison stayed undefeated in 2021 while handing Canton their first loss of the year. The Bulldogs take on Tri-Valley next Friday.
