Lady Bulldogs Softball Picks Up A Pair

Madison Softball picked up a pair of victories this past Sunday, defeating Tri-Valley 15-5 and Vermillion 9-1. Versus Tri-Valley, the Lady Bulldogs found themselves down 5-2 after two innings – but then scored four runs in the third, three more in the fourth and six runs in the fifth inning. Rachel Olson drove in five runs and Madison had 18 hits in the game.

In the second game, Madison used a four run first inning to jump out early and cruise to the victory over Vermillion. Amanda Vacanti went three for three with three runs scored and two driven in. Kelsey O’Connell pitched a five-hitter for the victory. Lady Bulldogs softball now stands at 5-1 on the season.
