In a thrilling game in Arlington on Tuesday night, the Madison Lady Bulldogs held on for a 66-58 win over the Cardinals. Madison would grab a five-point lead after the first quarter and led for the vast majority of the contest. Heading into the fourth quarter, Madison would stretch their lead to 15 points before a furious comeback by Arlington. It took around four minutes for the Cardinals to rally and take the lead at 53-52. A barrage of three pointers and layups after turnovers fueled the Cardinal comeback. However, the final few minutes of the game saw Madison control the tempo and were able to wear down the host team.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 52% in the game, to Arlington’s 27%. Zoey Gerry continued her hot streak, she had 20 points and 12 rebounds (12 for 12 from the free throw line). Abby Brooks (11 points 8 rebounds) and Juliana Hodges (10 points 8 rebounds) both had their best games of the season. The win moved Madison to 3-3 on the season. They will be back in action next Tuesday night at home versus Vermillion.
