Lady Bulldogs Get Second Win of the Year

The Madison girls won their 2nd game of the year on Saturday afternoon, with a 50-46 win on the road in Dell Rapids. Madison opened the game on an 11-0 run, but most of that back before the end of the 1st quarter, and trailed by three at halftime.

The 2nd half was a back-and-forth affair, with the teams trading the lead numerous times. Madison junior Audrey Nelson took control of the game in the final minutes, blocking two shots and knocking down free throws to seal the win.

Nelson finished the game with 18 points. Zoey Gerry added 9 and Karley Lurz 8 for the Bulldogs. Lix Price scored a game high 19 points for Dell Rapids.

The Madison girls improved to 2-2 with the win, which was their first victory in the Dak XII since a 50-40 win over Dell Rapids in December of 2021.

The Lady Bulldogs will be back at home on Tuesday, taking on Vermillion in a doubleheader at the Madison High School Gym. Both the boys and girls games Tuesday night can be heard on AM1390, with the video streams on AmazingMadison.com.
