After jumping out to a 17-5 advantage after one quarter at Dell Rapids on Thursday night, the Madison Girls Basketball Team found themselves struggling for consistency in a 51-46 loss. The Lady Bulldogs were able to create fast-break layups over the first eight minutes and capitalized frequently, but then returned the favor in the second quarter. It was 23-21 at the break in favor of the Lady Quarriers. Both sides traded shots in the third and into the fourth, but much like Tuesday night it was the opponent who had the late run.

Dell Rapids had a couple of big offensive rebounds in the final minutes of the game to create second chance opportunities and capitalized. It was the 10th straight loss for the Lady Bulldogs. Zoey Gerry returned to the lineup and scored 19 points, Abby Brooks poured in 12. Madison back in action this evening – part of a doubleheader with Dakota Valley.
