Hodges Places First in the Region

In the Region 1A Wrestling meet this weekend, Caleb Hodges (132lb) for Madison finished first in the region. 

Hodges won his first match of the meet by a major decision, before winning by fall in his semifinal match.

Hodges then won by decision over Jackson Tschetter (Tea Area) in the first place match to earn first place in Region 1A for 132lb. 

Carson Wolf had a top three finish for Madison, placing third after winning his third place match by decision.

As a team, the Bulldogs finished seventh in the region out of ten teams, scoring 97.5 points. 

The SDHSAA Class A State Wrestling Tournament is this Friday and Saturday at Summit Arena at The Monument.
