Despite Strong Pitching, Bulldogs Fall to the Titans

In their second game of the season, the Madison Bulldog baseball team fell to the Tea Titans 2-0.

Tea scored their first run in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead after an error allowed the run to score. The Titans scored their final run in the bottom of the fifth, which was enough to beat the Bulldogs 2-0 after Madison couldn’t register a run.

Both sides had strong pitching performances, with the Bulldogs striking out six batters and the Titans striking out nine.

Despite the strong pitching from the Bulldogs, they were outhit 3-2 by the Titans and also committed six errors while Tea had zero errors.

Nate Christensen grabbed the win for Tea, going five innings of one-hit ball while striking out five and allowing no runs. Sam Werdel threw two innings of relief to get the save as he recorded the last six outs for the Titans.

Taking the loss for Madison on the mound was Lucas Mork, who went four innings and allowed one run on two hits. Mork struck out four and walked one.

Lucas Jonhson and Addison Gehrels each had one hit for Madison.
