Bulldogs Wrap Up Season on Final Day of Class A State Meet

The Madison Bulldogs had four individuals and one team competing on the final day of the SDHSAA Class A State Track and Field meet.

Leading the day off in running events for the Bulldogs was Jessie Tappe, who placed 24th in the 1600m run with a time of 5:34.

The Bulldogs had a Top Five finish in the 4x100m Relay, with the team of Caden DeVries, Sutton Bern, Shane Veenhof, and Bruce Galde placing fourth with a time of 55:50.

In the field events, both Ben Brooks and Maycee Theede had a 17th place finish in the boys and girls Long Jump. Brooks had a 19’0 3/4 leap and Theede jumped 15’3.

Parker Johnson finished in the Top Ten for Shot Put, with his seventh place shot put toss of 49’3.

As a team, the Madison Boys team finished 16th in the Class A meet, and the Lady Bulldogs placed 17th.
