Bulldogs Win Streak Extends to Four Straight

Despite falling behind early, the Madison Bulldogs baseball team was able to grab the 7-5 victory over Miller earlier this week to extend their win streak to four.

The Bulldogs opened the game with a run in the bottom of the first inning. However, Miller answered with five runs of their own in the top of the second to take the 4-1 lead after two innings.

In the bottom of the third though, the Bulldogs began to pull away after scoring five runs in the inning. Three of the Bulldogs runs came on an Addison Gehrels 3 RBI Single..

Both teams added one more run a piece, which was enough for Madison to hold on to the 7-5 win, which was their fourth consecutive win.

Ben Brooks was credited with the win for Madison, lasting five innings. He gave up three hits and five runs while striking out five and walking one. Lucas Mork pitched in two innings of relief.

Blaze Hardman took the loss for Miller, surrendering seven runs on five hits across six innings. Hardman also struck out ten.

As a team, Madison had five hits and five errors compared to four hits and three errors for Miller.

Leading the Bulldogs at the plate was both Gehrels and Calvin Kelsey, who each had two hits.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to a 9-6 overall record on the season.Â
