Bulldogs Remain Outside of 11A Poll

The Madison Bulldogs football team won their second game of the season last Friday night, but it was not enough to put them back into the Top 5 of the 11A Coaches Poll. The Bulldogs did not receive any votes for the poll either. 

Early losses for the Bulldogs have put them into a tough spot this late in the season, as they sit at number seven in the 11A after six weeks, with their record of 2-4 after their 21-14 win over Canton on Friday, September 30th.

The top two teams in 11A continue to be Dell Rapids and West Central, both teams who have beaten Madison earlier in the year. Beresford is the third ranked team, and then there is a tie for four between Sioux Falls Christian and Dakota Valley. 

Canton and Lennox are the two teams on the outside looking in, receiving votes.

Madison returns home this Friday, October 7th, to host Lennox, where the Bulldogs will try to get their first winning streak of the season as they build on last week’s win.
