Bulldogs Race in the Charger Invite

In the Charger Invite at Yankton Trails yesterday, the Madison Cross Country boys and girls teams each had one runner finish in the Top 20.

Finishing at 18th overall for the boys was Bulldogs Dylan Gerdes with his time of 18:06.70, while Jessie Tappe’s time of 22:08.33 also earned her a Top 20 spot as well, placing 19th for the girls.

Only one other runner for the Madison boys to finish in the Top 50 at the invite was Henry Meyer, finishing 50th with his time of 19:49.06.

Other Top 50 finishers for the Madison girls team were Ellie Keller in 34th (23:02.08), Lou Schladweiler in 44th (24:09.02), and Samantha Troxell in 45th (24:11.05).

Of the ten teams that participated in the invite for the boys, Madison finished ninth as a team after a total time of 1:18:48.37. The Bulldogs averaged a time of 19:42.10.

For the girls, Madison as a team finished seventh overall out of the nine girls teams with their total time of 1:33:30.48, averaging a time of 23:22.62.

The next meet for Madison will be next Monday, September 19th when they race in the Bon Homme Cross Country meet.
