Bulldogs Lose Close in Final Home Match

In their final regular season match, the Madison volleyball team fought in a tough match against Garretson, but ultimately fell to the Blue Dragons in five sets.

Garretson won the first set 25-22, before Madison won sets two and three by scores of 25-22 and 25-13. The Bulldogs weren’t able to close it out and get the match win after Garretson won set four 25-14 and also the deciding fifth set 15-12. 

Audrey Nelson led the match in kills, being the only player to get more than 20 with her 26 kills. She also added 19 digs to get a double-double, while getting six blocks as well. Amanda Vacanti followed in kills with seven and added 12 assists. Maycee Theede tied with Nelson in digs, getting 19 as well. 

For the Blue Dragons, Logan Bly led in kills with 17, followed by Kaylin Koch who had a double-double with her 11 kills and 21 digs. 

The Bulldogs fell to 12-14 on the season, and will await to see who they play in the Region 3A Tournament next week.
