Bulldogs Get Back to .500 with Win Last Night

It took four sets, but the Madison Bulldogs were able to even up their record last night with a 3-1 match win over the Lennox Orioles. Madison’s record improved to 5-5 on the season after the victory.

Lennox was able to keep it close against Madison throughout the match, though they dropped the first set to the Bulldogs 25-17. The only set that the Bulldogs dropped was a tightly contested second set, which the Orioles won 28-26.

The Bulldogs then won the next two sets with scores of 25-22 and 25-21, allowing them to take the 3-1 match win.

Audrey Nelson continues her strong season for the Bulldogs, accounting for 19 kills. Amanda Vacanti, Madison, followed Nelson in kills, getting 14. Leading the game in digs was Madison’s Maycee Theede with 21. 

Madison will host their third straight match when they play Northwestern tomorrow afternoon at 1pm.
