Area Wrestling Results
Madison Wrestling hosted their home invite on Saturday at the MHS Gymnasium. Rapids City Stevens took home the team title with 201.5 points, Howard placed seventh, Madison ninth, Dell Rapids 12th, West Central 14th and Flandreau 20th.
Individual highlights include:
Madison: Truman Stoller 3rd at 113, Sam Olson 3rd at 120 and Colby Mennis 3rd at 160.Â
Howard: Riley Genzlinger 2nd at 126, Lane Miller 2nd at 138, John Callies 4th at 152 and Issac Feldhaus 2nd at 195.
Dell Rapids: Mason Stubbe 2nd at 106 and Mitchell Klinkenborg 4th at 220.
West Central: Landry Knight placed 2nd at 152.Â
Dell Rapids and Flandreau also sent wrestlers to Sioux Valley on Saturday, the Quarriers had Hunter Nelson place 3rd at 138 and Kyle Cavigielli 4th at 285. The Flyers Sergio Morales was runner-up at 285.
Tri-Valley competed at the Elk Point-Jefferson Invite on Saturday, placing 12th as a team. Individual highlights include, Porter Jensen placed 5th at the 138 class and Mason Hendrickson took 5th at 160.
