Another Strong Day for Madison Tennis

After suffering a loss earlier this week, the Madison Girls tennis team got back on track on Thursday with another big win, this one against Brookings. The Flight 1 Doubles team also played well against top ranked Huron.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-2 on the season after Thursday’s matches.

At flight 1 doubles against Huron, Evelyn Graham and Sienna Maxwell fell behind 6-5, but then rolled off five straight to win 10-6. That was the only win for Madison against Huron.

Against Brookings, the Bulldogs pulled out another close one at the end. The first four flights of singles won their matches, as well as the flight 1 singles team.

At flight 2, Callie, bounds won 8-3, at flight 3, Delilah Maxwell won 8-4, and at flight 4, Sienna Maxwell won at 8-0. The last match to finish was flight 1 singles, which was a nail biter, Evelyn Graham pulling out a win at 8-6.

The Bulldogs will be back in Madison this morning to host Pierre at 10am.
