The state surpassed the 100-thousand mark in total positive COVID-19 cases on Sunday.  The state Department of Health reported more than 13-hundred new positive cases on Saturday and Sunday, which put the overall state total at 100-thousand-532.  

There were 25 additional COVID-19 deaths reported over the weekend, bringing the state’s death toll to 1513.  One of those deaths was reported in Miner County.  

As of Sunday, the state reported just under six-thousand active COVID-19 cases, and 262 people were hospitalized. 

Locally, in Lake County, twenty new positive COVID-19 cases were reported over the weekend, along with eight recovered cases.  Lake County has 68 active COVID-19 cases.  Other area counties that reported an increase in active cases included Moody County with 33, Miner County with 19 active cases, and Brookings County with 248 active coronavirus cases as of Sunday.  Both McCook and Kingsbury counties reported 37 active cases each yesterday.
