MSCB Hiring New Teachers

Spring is often a time of change for school districts across the state, as they begin finding their staff for the next school year. The Madison Central School Board took action on some personal items at their meeting on Monday. The Board approved a request to hire Chris Mohr as a teacher at the elementary school, and also accepted the resignation of Devon Bruna as an elementary teacher, effective at the end of this school year. Bruna, who has taught in Madison for the past eight years, will become the new Assistant Principal at Wahpeton Elementary School in Wahpeton, North Dakota.

Another resignation accepted on Monday was that of board member Robert Honomichl. Honomichl has been on the board since 2017, and has been a part of the district as either a teacher, board member, or technical director, since 2001. His resignation is effective at the end of June of this year.

Honomichl and the rest of the board will meet again this week to consider two additional new hires for the district. Thursday’s agenda has requests to hire Jeryn Mediger and Preston Nordling as teachers for the elementary school. That meeting will be at 7:30 am Thursday in the boardroom of Madison High School.
