Monday COVID-19 update: 111 new positive cases in state; 2 in Lake County
The state Department of Health is reporting 111 new positive COVID-19 cases statewide Monday. No new virus-related deaths are being reported, and 268 people are currently hospitalized. The state reports just more than six-thousand active COVID-19 cases in the state as of Monday.
Lake County reports another two positive coronavirus cases, along with three recovered cases. Overall, Lake County has had 1042 positive COVID-19 cases, 959 recovered cases, and sixteen deaths. There are currently 67 active COVID-19 cases in Lake County.
Elsewhere in our area, Kingsbury County reports 38 active cases, McCook County-37, and Moody County has 32 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday. Miner County reports 22 active cases, and Brookings County has 255 active coronavirus cases.
The state reports that close to 27-thousand doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far in the state.
