Saturday will be a “magical” day in Madison as the community celebrates Madison’s Magical Christmas.  The day includes many different events and activities, starting with Day with Santa at the downtown Madison Armory at 9:30 Saturday morning.  Day with Santa lasts until 1:00 p.m. and is organized by the Madison Chamber Leadership Madison group.  There are a number of activities going on throughout the community Saturday morning and afternoon.  A list of those can be found at amazingmadison.com.

KJAM’s first ever Parade of Lights will take place on Egan Avenue in Madison starting at 5:30 Saturday evening.  The parade, featuring more than 40 entries, will go from South 2nd to North 2nd Street on Egan Avenue.  KJAM’s Parade of Lights is sponsored by Heartland Energy, Dairy Queen, Sioux Valley Energy, First Bank and Trust, East River Electric, and Montgomery’s.

Awards from the parade will be presented at the Community Christmas Tree lighting, which will take place near the Dairy Queen parking lot in Madison after the conclusion of the Parade of Lights.  The tree lighting is also organized by the Madison Chamber Leadership Madison group.

After all of that, a Community Soup Supper will be held at the downtown City Armory.  This is being put on by the Madison After-Prom group and the cost is a free-will donation.
