Housing bills moving slowly through legislature

Bills that could direct hundreds of millions of dollars for housing development across the state have been slow to move in the South Dakota legislature.

State Senate Majority Leader Gary Cammack said they want to make sure those dollars are spread out fairly.

Cammack said they have to be careful in how and when the money goes out.

Cammack said there is strong support for the workforce housing plan.

The overall plan would spend up to two hundred million dollars in a state, local, private developer partnership.
