DSU holding event for special announcement regarding DSU athletics

Dakota State University is planning a special announcement regarding the future of DSU athletics and is inviting the public to be a part of it.  DSU is holding an event on Monday, February 28th at 3:00 p.m. at the university’s Fieldhouse.  Community members and business leaders are invited to attend the special announcement Monday.  

There are several speakers scheduled to take part in Monday’s announcement, including DSU President José-Marie Griffiths and Suzy Collignon-Hodgen, DSU Alumna and Chairwoman of the DSU Foundation Board of Trustees.  Also slated to speak are Miles Beacom, DSU Alumnus and CEO of PREMIER Bankcard; Matt Hocks, Sanford Health COO, and former Regent Randy Schaefer.  Madison Central Superintendent Joel Jorgenson is also scheduled to address those attending Monday’s announcement at DSU, along with Terry Schultz, president of the Lake Area Improvement Corporation.  

The speakers at Monday’s event will share the future of DSU athletics, discuss updates to the fundraising campaign, and highlight the impact this will have on the university and community of Madison.Â
