City hires Library Director and Electric Superintendent

The City of Madison has promoted from within for its Library Director and Electric Superintendent positions.

Madison City Commissioners Monday approved personnel action that included the hiring of Jayson Limmer as the city’s Electric Superintendent and Lisa Martin as the city’s Library Director.  Limmer’s hire is effective Wednesday, at a salary of more than 93-thousand dollars.  Limmer previously worked as a Journey Lineman for the city’s Electric Department.

Martin’s hire as Library Director is effective March 1st.  Her salary is just more than 68-thousand dollars. Martin currently works as the Children’s Librarian for the Madison Public Library.

Mayor Marshall Dennert asked about those who had been approved earlier for five-percent wage increases while the city was looking for people to fill the supervisory positions.  City Administrator Jameson Berreth said that those increases will need to come off when the new positions take effect.
