City approves lease renewal agreement for Depot building

The Madison City Commission has approved the lease renewal agreement with the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lake Area Improvement Corporation.  During their meeting on Monday, commissioners approved the lease renewal for another five years for the two entities to rent the city’s Depot building on South Egan Avenue.  City Administrator Jameson Berreth outlined some of the terms of the agreement.

Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Eric Hortness said that the Chamber and the LAIC had made some improvements to the building recently.

The lease agreement for the Depot building approved by city commissioners Monday will go through December of 2026.
