Viterbo Takes Two From Dakota State on Friday

DSU Fieldhouse saw two losses to Dakota State basketball on Saturday evening.

Viterbo ended a few streaks for the women’s team in their 77-71 win. The V-Hawks ended a 23-game winning streak in North Star conference games and an 18-game home winning streak against NSAA opponents. Savannah Walsdorf had a double-double, 13 points and 11 rebounds. Elsie Aslesen blocked four shots and scored 12 points in the loss.

The men lost by one to the V-Hawks, 68-67, ending the Trojans’ four-game winning streak. Lamarr Wood had a career-high 23 points. He pulled down seven rebounds and rejected four shots. Chris Morales and Maxwell Nielsen each scored in double figures.

Both teams will meet Viterbo again this Friday.
