Two DSU Baseball Players Earn Weekly Honors for the NSAA

A pair of DSU baseball players sweep the first edition of the players-of-the-week. JD Kirchner was selected as pitcher-of-the-week and Ryan McDaniel was named player-of-the-week.
Kirchner pitched a complete game shutout and got the win against Northwestern on Friday, striking out six and allowing only five hits. He’s pitched 11 innings this season with an ERA of 0.82, totaling 13 strikeouts.
McDaniel went 6-of-17 this past week, hitting a home run, a triple, and driving in six runs. He has a .304 batting average for the Trojans.
