Trojans to Play in Labor Day Classic this Weekend

The Dakota State volleyball team continues their preseason play with four matches this weekend. Dakota State is set to play in the College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic at United Sports Academy in North Sioux City, Iowa.

A total of 21 teams are featured in the two-day College of Saint Mary/United Sports Academy Tournament this weekend, including four teams from the NSAA (DSU Mayville State, Presentation, and No. 9 ranked Viterbo).  In addition, ten teams are either ranked in the NAIA’s Top 25 or listed in the receiving votes section.

Dakota State plays all four matches this weekend against members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference, with three teams being ranked in the NAIA’s Top 25.  

The Trojans open their tournament play against No. 8 Northwestern this afternoon at 1pm, followed by another match against No. 23 Dordt at 5pm. Tomorrow, DSU faces No. 10 Concordia at 11am. and closes out the tournament versus Hastings at 5pm.
