Trojans Picked to Finish First in Preseason Poll

The NSAA men’s cross-country head coaches preseason poll was announced yesterday, and the poll had unanimously picked Dakota State to win the title.

Dakota State collected all six first-place votes for 36 points to claim the top spot in the preseason poll, a year after the Trojans captured a historic four-peat NSAA conference title last season.

Dickinson State was right behind DSU, after being picked to finish second in the poll.

The Trojans will open their season on September 2nd at the Augustana Twilight Meet. They will then host the 20th Annual Herb Blakely Invitational on September 10th.

The league cross-country championships take place at Heart River Golf Course in Dickinson, N.D. The team winner of the conference meet will represent the North Star Athletic Association in the NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championships at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida on Nov. 18.
