The Dakota State Men’s Basketball team spent the vast majority of their contest at Midland playing from behind, eventually falling 64-51 in Fremont, Nebraska. The two sides traded baskets early in the first half before the Warriors would build a 33-24 lead at halftime. Both sides shot under 40 percent in the first 20 minutes. Midland came out hot in the second half and built their largest lead at 19 points with just over 16 minutes left.

Ronnie Latting had 10 points and eight rebounds for the Trojans, Josh McGreal finished with 17 points on 8 of 16 shooting. The Warriors hit 7 more three-pointers in the game, limiting DSU to just 4 total from downtown. Dakota State fell to 0-2 on the season and will continue non-conference play this upcoming Wednesday, traveling to take on Dakota Wesleyan.
