Traia Hubbard of DSU was named NSAA Women’s Outdoor Track Field Athlete-of-the-Week for the fourth time.

Traia Hubbard of Dakota State was named North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Women’s Outdoor Track Field Athlete-of-the-Week on Tuesday for the fourth time. Hubbard placed fourth in the discus throw for the Trojans at the Division II meet, Ron Masanz Track and Field Classic at Minnesota State Moorhead, tossing 42.62 meters. The senior from Yankton, S.D. currently leads the NSAA in discus throw and is fourth in the NAIA as of Tuesday. 

SenQuavius Johnson of Dakota State earned the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Men’s Outdoor Track Field Athlete-of-the-Week on Tuesday. Johnson dominated at the NCAA Division II Ron Masanz Track and Field Classic hosted by Minnesota State Moorhead, posting a personal best of 10.53 seconds in the 100-meter dash, which was his third straight win. The senior from Reynolds, G.A. also won the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.71 seconds and anchored the winning 4x 100 meter relay. Dakota State’s final regular season meet is Friday in Vermillion, S.D. for the NCAA Division I meet South Dakota Tune-up.
