Ten DSU Athletes To Participate in NAIA Indoor National Championships in Brookings in Three-Day Meet

Today, DSU Track and Field team will send 10 athletes to the NAIA Indoor National Championships at Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings. The three-day meet will start this afternoon and will finish Saturday.

The women will have two competing in the 42nd annual women’s national championships. Kezley Yeager and Lahna Matucha will be competing in the national indoor track & field meet for the first time at DSU. Yeager is set to compete in the 400-meter dash semifinals on Friday afternoon, with the finals on Saturday. Matucha will participate in the high jump on Saturday at 1:30pm.

The men will have eight competing in the 57th annual men’s national championships. Treshawn Roberts will compete in the heptathlon, starting today at 12:30pm. He’ll compete in the 60-meter dash, the long jump, shot put, and high jump. He’ll finish tomorrow with the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault, and the 1000-meter run. Joshua Krull, Roger Oliete Tejedor, Evan Slominski, and Cody Farland all compete in the 4 x 800-meter relay today, with the finals tomorrow. Connor Tordsen will participate in the weight throw, Joe Lynch in the high jump, and SenQuavius Johnson in the 60-meter dash.
