NSAA Schools Recognized

The North Star Athletic Association conference is one of the 16 NAIA conferences that received the NAIA’s initiative program, the Champions of Character honor. Six of the North Star Athletic Association conference members received the Champions of Character award. Schools receiving the gold level are Bellevue and Mayville State. Institutions receiving the silver level are Dakota State, Valley City State and Viterbo. Presentation was recognized at the Bronze level.

A total of 181 schools received the Champions of Character initiative program recognition from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics national office. Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earned points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point average and by having minimal to no ejections during competitions throughout the course of the academic year.
