DSU’s Groft Named Defender-of-the-Week

This week the NSAA  announced the 10th installment of the volleyball weekly honors, with Peyton Groft, a senior at DSU, being awarded the NSAA Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week.

Groft led her team to a 2-1 record for the week with her 62 digs. She had 16 digs even with a 3-0 setback versus Bellevue, then followed that up with 24 digs in a 3-0 victory over Dickinson State ,and also 38 digs in a 3-1 win against Valley City State. 

She also has contributed 9 set assists and a service ace.  

Last week the Trojans won against Dickinson State with a clean sweep of 3-0 on October 21st. That same day they won against VCSU with a score of 3-1. DSU volleyball is now at a record of 15-14. 

The Trojans will be playing this Friday, October 28th, against Mayville State at 6pm.
