DSU Women Run in the Roy Griak Invitational

Three Dakota State women’s runners made their mark in the school record’s 6K ‘Top 30’ list after running the 36th annual Roy Griak Invitational last Friday afternoon.  

Dakota State ran in the Suzy Wilson Women’s Maroon Race, which consisted of numerous NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA schools. NCAA Division II Minnesota Duluth won the team title with a low score of 65 points.  The Trojans were 24th overall with a score of 694 points.

Lindsey Roth clocked a time of 25 minutes, 10.7 seconds to place 120th overall for DSU.  She posted the 13th fastest time in the school’s 6K ‘Top 30’ list. Madelyn Sylva followed up with a time of 25 minutes, 11.5 seconds to place 122nd. Her time is the 14th best all-time in the school’s  6K ‘Top 30’ list.

Brooke Beaucaire registered a time of 26 minutes, 14.6 seconds to finish 207th.  She posted the 26th best time in the Dakota State’s 6K ‘Top 30’ list.

Jada Anderson produced a time of 28 minutes, 16 seconds for the Trojans.  Saddie Palmquist added a time of 28 minutes, 27.5 seconds, followed by Courtney Meyer with a time of 31 minutes, 54.8 seconds.

The Trojans Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday, October 8th, in the Holiday Inn Express Classic.
