Taking on Northwestern in Orange City, Iowa on Wednesday night, the Dakota State Women’s basketball team outscored the host Red Raiders 27-15 in the fourth quarter to pick up a 77-63 victory. The Lady T’s shot 52.9 percent in the game, moving their record to 3-2 on the season and remained undefeated versus GPAC opponents. They also ended an eight-game losing streak to Northwestern, with their last win against said opponent in 2008.

Three players scored in double digits to pace DSU offensively, Morgan Koepsell scored 16 points off the bench with eight rebounds, Elsie Aslesen and Savannah Walsdorf had 14 and 13 points respectively. Dakota State grabbed 42 rebounds compared to 30 for Northwestern. The Lady T’s will be back in action on Saturday, traveling to take on Trinity Bible in Ellendale, North Dakota.

Also, there is a schedule change for DSU Women’s Basketball. Their contest next Tuesday versus Morningside was originally scheduled to be at the Pentagon, but has been moved to the DSU Fieldhouse. Tip off is set for 7pm.
