DSU Volleyball Shut Out Presentation

Dakota State bounced back in the winning column after outhitting Presentation Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 NSAA volleyball contest. The victory also gave the Trojans its 24th win in the last 26 meetings with the Saints.

Set scores for the match were 25-20, 25-12, 25-19.

Sydney Schell had a double-double for the Trojans, pacing DSU with 17 kills and 15 digs. Two other Trojans had double-doubles with Maddi Langerock getting 19 digs and 20 assists, while Madalyn Groft added 12 set assists and 11 digs.

Hannah Viet tallied nine kills and five blocks.  Brooklyn Grage registered nine kills, seven digs, and three blocks. Vanessa Schroeder had four kills and two blocks. Peyton Groft tallied 11 digs for DSU.

Dakota State hit .180 in the match (19 errors in 133 attempts) and held Presentation to minus .007 hitting percentage (26 attack errors in 141 swings). The Trojans outhit the Saints 43-25.

DSU improved their overall record to 16-15, moving them in a tie for third place in the NSAA standings with a 6-6 record. Presentation fell to 8-20 overall record and 5-7 NSAA conference record.

The Trojans conclude their regular-season schedule as they return home at DSU Fieldhouse next weekend. DSU wraps up their North Star conference schedule, starting Friday versus the conference’s leader No. 7 ranked Viterbo with first serve set for 6pm. Â
