Hitting the road for the second weekend in a row in NSAA play, the Dakota State Trojans split their matchups with Waldorf on Friday night. The Lady T’s had their games last weekend postponed and perhaps showed a little bit of rust in the game, ultimately pulling away in the second half for a 78-57 victory. Dakota State forced 29 turnovers to overcome shooting just 42 percent from the floor. Jessi Giles led the way with 19 points, as DSU won their ninth straight game and improved their overall record to 13-3 and 5-0 in conference play.

Dakota State could not hold momentum in the Men’s game, as Waldorf outscored the Trojans 48-33 in the second half to win 69-64. The Warriors shot just under 60 percent from the floor in the second half, ending DSU’s four-game winning streak. Josh McGreal once again led Dakota State in scoring, as he finished with 18 points and Ronnie Latting collected 12 rebounds (with 6 offensive). DSU is now 6-9 on the season and 4-2 in conference.
