DSU Softball Splits Doubleheader with Northwestern

The Dakota State Softball team was on the road yesterday for a non conference doubleheader in Orange City, Iowa taking on the Northwestern Red Raiders.  In the first game the Trojans were trailing 2-1 after 6 innings but rallied back with 2 runs in the final inning to hold off Northwestern 3-2.   In the second game the Red Raiders pounded out 19 hits for a 18-5 5 inning victory over the Trojans for a double header split.

The DSU softball team returns home this weekend to wrap up their regular season schedule hosting Viterbo in a NSAA 4 game series.  The 4 game series kicks off tomorrow with a doubleheader at 1pm followed by another doubleheader on Sunday at noon.  Senior Day will also be held on Sunday.
