DSU Outdoor Track & Field Made 2022 Debut at Wayne State This Past Weekend

Dakota State made their 2022 outdoor track & field debut this weekend at NCAA Division II Wayne State, competing in the two-day Wildcat Classic.

Three members of the women’s team claimed individual titles. Josie Wolf won the 400-meter dash, finishing at 1:01.25. She was also the top NAIA finisher in the 200-meter dash. DSU’s Lahna Matucha cleared the height of 1.53 meters in the high jump to place first. Madissyn Moore took the women’s long jump title after reaching 5.03 meters for the Trojans.

Conner Tordsen set a new DSU men’s outdoor track & field school record in the discus throw, tossing 52.40 meters, qualifying for his second straight national meet this coming May. He qualified in the weight throw last season. Treshawn Roberts won the 110-meter hurdles for the Trojans, finishing with a time of 15.75 seconds. Joshua Krull won the 400-meter dash race for Dakota State.

Both teams will meet the University of South Dakota on Saturday, April 2nd.
