DSU Baseball Splits with Waldorf

Dakota State earned another slugfest victory Saturday, defeating Waldorf (Iowa) 16-11 in the third game of the North Star Athletic Association baseball four-game series.   The Warriors closed out the series with a 3-0 shutout over the Trojans.

Dakota State is 12-11 overall and 5-3 in the NSAA.  It was the best eight-game North Star conference start for the Trojans since the league formed in 2013-14.  

DSU stays on the road Tuesday as they head to Omaha to take on the conference’s leader Bellevue (Neb.).  The North Star conference doubleheader kicks off at 3 p.m.
