DSU Baseball Earns 10-Run Win Over Dakota Wesleyan Tuesday Evening

Three Trojans hit home runs in the 14-4 victory over Dakota Wesleyan, giving the DSU baseball team their third win in a row.

DWU jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, but in the second, Dakota State’s Jackson O’Neal singled home a run, and Josh Van Beek and Chris Burke hit back-to-back homers to give DSU a 5-3 lead. The Trojans outscored the Tigers 9-1 for the remainder of the game. Mason Macaluso hit his team-leading fifth home run. All four hits allowed to Dakota Wesleyan came from the first inning. Noah Angstadt earned his second win of the year, pitching six innings and striking out five.

Dakota State is 18-9 and will play two doubleheaders this weekend against Presentation College in Aberdeen.
