Dakota State Cross Country hosted the NSAA Championships at the Madison Country Club on Friday. Jacia Christian was medalist honors for the Women, helping to lead the Lady T’s to a third place finish. Jada Anderson came in third place, as those two advanced as individuals to the National Meet next spring. Alex Derr was medalist for the Men as DSU cruised to their third straight Men’s title. The Trojans placed five runners inside the top ten. Evan Slominski was runner-up to Derr. DSU Men advance as a team to the National Meet. Head Coach Anthony Drealan was named the Men’s Coach-Of-The-Year for the third straight time.

Dakota State Women’s Basketball took on their third straight ranked opponent on Friday at the Cattle Classic. They came up just short versus number 20 Carroll (Mont), 69-65. A poor offensive first half from both sides saw Carroll take a 31-24 lead into the break. Carroll would hold the lead throught the third and into the fourth quarter. The Lady T’s made a late run to pull with two at 62-60, but got no closer. Savannah Walsdorf had 17 points and Jessi Giles 16, as Dakota State dropped to 2-2 on the season.

Have the last two weekends off, the DSU Football team returns to action today, traveling to take on Walsdorf University. Kickoff is set for 2pm, pregame about 40 minutes beforehand. Action can be heard on FM103
