Dakota State Cross Country competed on Saturday at the Briar Cliff Invite in North Sioux City, the women placed seventh as a team and the men fifth place. The women saw all of their runners improve their times from the first meet, led by Jacia Christansen’s 42nd place finish – her time is the 29th best in school history. The men were impressive as well, they had 10 runners snag career bests. Alex Derr paved the way with a 27th place finish and his time was the 25th best in school history. The DSU Men’s team did receive votes in last week’s NAIA Men’s Cross-Country Coaches’ Preseason Poll.

Trojan Cross Country will be back in action this upcoming Saturday, at the Seminole Valley Stampede/Pre-Nationals meet in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
