Dakota State Cross Country Opens Season

Dakota State Cross Country opened up their season on Saturday, hosting the 18th annual Herb Blakely Invite at the Madison Country Club. Both teams had great success as the Men took home top team honors and the Women finished second.

Alex Derr was the runner-up in the Mens 8K race, Taylor Meyers finished eighth, Matthew Dunn was 10th, Evan Slominski 12th and Dylan Hilger 13th. Jacia Christansen was runner-up in the Women’s 5K, Jada Anderson was seventh, Juliette Rios claimed 13th, Mallory Aughenbaugh 16th and Madison Whitcomb finished in 22nd place.

DSU Cross Country will now have the next few weekends off, back in action at the Briar Cliff Invite on October 3rd.
