Returning to action for the first time in over two weeks, the Dakota State Men’s Basketball team could not hold a late lead in regulation, falling in overtime to Briar Cliff – 79-75. Dakota State led 64-57 with 47.2 seconds remaining before Briar Cliff roared back to score seven points in the final 38 seconds to force overtime. The Chargers outscored the Trojans 16-12 in the final five minutes.

Both teams started out 4 for 4 in overtime, before the Chargers would score five of the last six points in the contest. The Trojans shot 51 percent in the game, but were outscored via the bench, 19-2. Four DSU players were in double-digits, Josh McGreal led the way with 22 points, Jordan Lynn had 19 points and 9 rebounds, Brady Van Holland scored 13 points and Ronnie Latting poured in 10.

Now at 2-4 on the year, DSU Men will be back in action on the 30th, hosting rival Dakota Wesleyan at the DSU Fieldhouse.
