Two Nights of Racing This Past Weekend

For the weekend of Fourth of July, there were two nights of racing at the I-90 Speedway, with the IMCA Sprint Car Freedom Classic and Paramount Racing Series lasting both Friday and Saturday night.

There were four classes of cars that were racing, with those classes being the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Late Model Street Stocks, USRA B-Modifieds, and USRA Hobby Stocks.

On Friday, the top two finishers in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars for A-Features were from Madison, with Dillon Bickett placing first followed by Nate Barger. Barger has finished in second place for back-to-back weekends now. Dusty Ballenger of Harrisburg placed first for the B-Feature. Ballenger finished in first place last weekend as well. 

In the Late Model Street Stocks, Zach Olivier from Sioux Falls finished first, followed by Matt Steuerwald from Madison. 

A Feature for the B-Modifieds saw Camden Meyers from Ethan start in eleventh and finish in first. Meyers finished in second place last weekend. Wade Wright of Ravinia, SD won the B Feature. 

For USRA Hobby Stocks, the top two finishers in the A Feature were from Sioux Falls, with Dustin Gulbrandonson taking first place, and then in second place was Nick Brady. The B Feature, Tyler Bradley from Hartford took first place.

On Saturday night, leading the way in the A Feature for the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars was Lee Goos Jr of Hartford, and in the B Feature, Johnny Sullivan from Arnolds Park, Iowa took first place. 

Another racer from Iowa won, with Colby Klaassen from Little Rock who started in ninth, winning in the Late Model Street Stocks. Winning the USRA B-Modifieds was Dustin Kruse of Brandon, and in the USRA Hobby Stocks, winning first place was Josh Bradley from Harrisburg.

There will not be any races this weekend at the I-90 Speedway, but will be back the following weekend on July 16th.Â
