Sioux Falls Christian Advances While Baltic Falls in SODAK 16

After making their way through the Region 3A tournament, the Sioux Falls Christian volleyball team has advanced to the state meet after winning their SODAK 16 match against Redfield.

It only took three sets for SFC to win their match, dominated against Redfield with sets scores of  25-15, 25-13, 25-9. 

Sidney Oostra led the Chargers in kills, registering 15. Peyton Poppema finished the night for SFC with a double-double, getting 12 kills and 11 digs. Lavin Maddox led in digs after getting 12. 

The leading hitter for Redfield was Mallory Smith with five kills.

The other team from Region 3A to make it to the SODAK 16, Baltic, didn’t have the same success as Sioux Falls Christian, as they were swept by Dakota Valley in three sets by scores of 25-12, 25-15, and 25-19. 

Leading the match in kills was Claire Munch for Dakota Valley, getting 15, followed by teammate Sophie Tuttle with 13. Both players for Dakota Valley finished with double-doubles, with Munch adding 12 digs and Tuttle getting 15 digs. 

Emma Van Regenmorter was the leading hitter for Baltic with 11 kills. Peyton Krull led the team in digs with 14, followed by Madison Kennedy with 13. 

Next for the SODAK 16 winners, like Sioux Falls Christian and Dakota Valley, is a trip to t​​he state tournament at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, SD lasting from November 17th-19th.
