ORR Outlasts Lake Preston In Boys Basketball

A relentless full court press allowed for the Raiders of Oldham-Ramona-Rutland to outlast the Divers of Lake Preston on Friday night, via a 71-51 score. In a game heard on FM103, Lake Preston had a slight 14-10 lead after the first quarter, thanks to a pair of 3’s from Carter Malone. The host Raiders picked up steam in the second quarter, out scoring their opponent 20-8 to lead 30-22 at the break. ORR came out and kept the pedal to the floor, never giving up the lead throughout the final 16 minutes. Orion Albertson had 22 points and Wil Matson finished with 20 to lead ORR. Lake Preston was led by Jasper Denison’s 17 points.

ORR boys will be back in action on Tuesday, hosting Alcester-Hudson in Rutland. Lake Preston also returns to the court on Tuesday, at Wolsey-Wessington.
